I associate the four-letter word "Risk" with the following ideas, in no particular order.
Play to Win
Human beings have a seemingly unstoppable ability to take risks in life and fill it with unlimited potential. What I’m going to argue is, that as human beings, we have such a huge appetite for risk-taking, that we cannot do away with it anymore than we can do away with breathing.
“If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.” - Bruce Lee
“The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today.” - Franklin D. Roosevelt
Isn’t it sad that by avoiding risks, most human beings on Earth would rather submit to their innate fear of potential rejection, failure or embarrassment in front of others, than embrace risks and take on challenging situations head-on, and benefit from the internal growth which happens in the process.
